Kristi Smith

HEAD TRAINER

Kristi began her impressive junior career with Karen Healey and trained with Olympian Leslie Burr Howard. With her junior jumper Artesian, she achieved incredible success including championships at Harrisburg, Washington, Devon, and a win at the famous Newport Jumping Derby. She has continued success in both hunter and jumper rings with many Grand Prix wins. Kristi coaches students to compete in prestigious finals including the USEF Medal and ASPCA Maclay Finals, training riders up to Grand Prix level.

Hana Aksterowicz

ASSISTANT TRAINER & BARN MANAGER

Hana grew up in East Lyme, CT, riding and showing on the CHSA and CHJA circuits, competing in both finals multiple times. She graduated from Centenary University in May 2021 with degrees in Equine Science and Equine Training & Instruction. During her time at Centenary, she was an active member on their IHSA team and qualified for both regionals and zones. She teaches beginner and intermediate lessons at the farm.

Amy Olszewski

TRAINER & GUIDANCE COUNSELOR

Amy has been a part of Cedar Brook Farm for over 15 years. As a junior rider she was successful in both hunter and jumper divisions. She provides instruction to beginning and intermediate riders, introducing students to the fun of the show ring and basic horsemanship skills. Amy and her students have won many local and regional awards. She is also a full-time guidance counselor in the Branford, CT school district.
